Hello 

  I am USCF Senior Master Gary Sanders . I have been giving chess lessons for over 25 years. I give my lessons at the St. Petersburg Chess Club which is located at 540 4th Ave. N. St. Petersburg. Most of my Students meet  once a week for 1 hour. My rates are $45/hour.

   You maybe wondering what makes me competent to give Chess lessons?  I have a AA Degree from  SPJC  and a B.A. and M.A. from USF in Political Science.

    I first started playing tournament chess in 1972. I made Senior Master in 1983 . During my career I have won 9 Florida State Championship Titles.

              I am the  2006 Florida State Speed Champion.

  State Open Champion 1982 , 1989, and 1990.

  State Speed Champion  1981 , 1993 , 1994 , 2006 .

  State Action Champion 1993 & 1994 .

 My current USCF Rating is 2402. Since 1982 I have Received 11  Award Certificates from the United States Chess Federation. Below are links to my Favorite 5 awards. They can be slow to load !
