  I am USCF Senior Master Gary Sanders . I have been giving chess lessons for over 30 years. I give my lessons online

 My Students take a lesson for 1 hour at the same time each week.

 In order to take lessons over the internet all you need is a  computer with a Webcam.

During a lesson with me we see and talk with each other using Skype.  If you have not heard of skype it is a free internet video call site. It only takes 15 minutes or less to install and gives us the ability to hear and see each other.

We still need a chess board.  We can use either

 ICC  www.chessclub.com 

              or

 The Free internet chess server www.freechess.org/

Both  sites gives us a common chess board where we see the same board and both of us can move the pieces.

Using the above on a split screen on our computer we have a common Board and we see and hear each other.

After the first lesson I mail you printouts and we start the climb up the rating ladder.

   You maybe wondering what makes me competent to give Chess lessons?  I have a AA Degree from  SPJC  and a B.A. and M.A. from USF in Political Science.

    I first started playing tournament chess in 1972. I made Senior Master in 1983 . During my career I have won 9 Florida State Championship Titles.

              I was  the  2006 Florida State Speed Champion.

  State Open Champion 1982 , 1989, and 1990.

  State Speed Champion  1981 , 1993 , 1994 , 2006 .

  State Action Champion 1993 & 1994 .

 My current USCF Rating is 2402. Since 1982 I have Received 11  Award Certificates from the United States Chess Federation. Below are links to my Favorite 5 awards. They can be slow to load !
